abstract

The advent of the Internet has added the role of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to various organizations. Since the mid-1990s, regardless of industrialized or developing countries, governments around the globe have been massively investing in e-Government to utilize ICT in order help traditional government to become more efficient and effective, make government services more accessible, allow greater public access to information, and make government departments more accountable to citizens.

e-Government has been changing culture of the society, life style of citizens, business model of firms and managing style of organizations, and governing system of the government. Many countries have been facing the challenge of implementing e-Government successfully. This presentation concerns with e-Government Master Plan Consulting Report and suggests how to manage e-Government implementation for more efficient and effective government.

Dr. Subarna Shakya - Dr. Subarna Shakya holds Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the State University "Lviv Polytechnic", Ukraine. He worked as head of Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering, Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University. He is Associate Professor and currently working as Executive Director of National Information Technology Center, Government of Nepal. He has published more than 80 technical and policy related articles in national as well as international journals. He is working as steering committee member in School on Internet (SOI), Kieo University Japan. He is advisor and consultant in some national & international Universities. He is keen interest in research and development of ICT.

Dr. Sunil Maskey - Dr. Sunil Maskey has more than 10 years of experience in Hospital Management, Training Center Management, and School Management. He had worked as Assistant Teacher in Kwangwoon University and Charter Member of MIIT Korea. He had worked in Rose Club Korea Country Office Nepal (Korea based NGO) for 10 years as a Representative. He is currently working as ICT Consultant for National Information Technology Center, Government of Nepal. He holds a Ph.D. in Management Information System, Masters in Management Information System and Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Kwangwoon University, Seoul, South Korea.
