abstract This course explains:
    Why and how good-practice IT Governance is essential for the alignment of IT with and in support of the strategy and operations of the organization to realize promised value to its stakeholders: government, businesses, and citizens.
    The relationship between IT resources, IT services, enterprise information and the achievement of business, i.e. organizational, goals.
    Models for public value and benefits management.
    Appropriate management of IT-related risks.

bio Elsa Estevez is project staff of the Center for Electronic Governance at UNU-IIST. She is Assistant Professor at Universidad Nacional del Sur (UNS) in Bahia Blanca, Argentina. She holds a Magister in Computer Science from the same university and a Licenciado Degree in Computer Science from Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina. She teaches subjects related to Software Engineering. She is member of the e-Macao project at United Nations University - International Institute for Software Technology. Her research interest include: Electronic Government, software infrastructure for Electronic Government and Component-Based Development.
